Matthew’s passion for architecture and design began with his fort building days as a child. He spent his time building shelters out of everything from cardboard boxes to bed sheets. As he grew older, he moved his designs outdoors where he refused to sleep in a tent like every other Boy Scout. He actually built his shelters out of what he found around the camp site.

Matthew is a graduate from the USC School of Architecture. He has built an impressive resume over the past 5 years working with HOK; Behnisch, Behnisch & Partner; for studio and Newman Building Designs. Through his collaborations with this diverse group of firms he has gained extensive experience in nearly all building sectors. Since establishing McGrane Design in 2005, he has worked on making sustainable design a necessity to bettering our environment.
